The Commission for the Clarification of the Truth, the Special Jurisdiction for Peace and the Unit for the Search for Missing Persons categorically reject the continuous assassination of social leaders and ex-combatants of the FARC. Today more than ever, Colombia must defend the value of human life and not falter in the construction of peace. The leaders and ex-combatants need the protection of the state and of Colombian society, the vast majority of which wants to end the armed conflict.
The joint statement by the leadership of the three components of the Comprehensive System was published on 1 July 2020 on the Youtube channel of the Truth Commission.
